Katharticus are a rock group from Dunedin, NZ, with an ethereal brand of experimental rock featuring heart-pounding soaring guitar and ukulele solos, searching heartfelt lyrics, and wild soulful drums that transcend western convention. The band is known for their mix of catchy rock tunes as well as progressive post rock instrumentals. The band has released the studio albums Katharticus, Metro Angel, an EP Blow The Comfort Zone, and various singles including Wilson Parking, Kathartica, and Bird of the Year.
